Santa Claus and faerie traditions

What kind of a being is Santa Claus?  He's not an ordinary human and he's not a ghost... is he a faerie?

We set out milk and cookies for him, or perhaps a little alcohol and mince pie.  Hmmm... both of those are faerie traditions.

His stories are related to Odin (a god) and the Feast of Fools at Saturnalia.  He's helped by elves, who are definitely from faerie lore.

In this podcast, we explore the possibilities that Santa is actually from the faerie world.

[Note: I'm getting used to the fact that, whenever I try to podcast about the Otherworld, weird noises and interruptions occur.  I'm accepting that the faeries are being pranksters, but if you hear excessive clicks and spots where I edited out odd background noises... it's just that I'm talking about faeries again, and that's their way of being heard as well.]
